Construction of $50 million Mid Towne project to begin
soon

A new type of urban development will soon begin taking shape just east
of Health Hill on Michigan Avenue. The Mid Towne Village project will
encompass six acres of condominiums as well as office, retail, and park
space designed to attract young professionals, families, and new business
to the burgeoning medical district. The development is projected to cost
$50 million and take several years to complete.
When finished, Mid Towne will encompass approximately 235,000 square
feet of office and commercial space and as many as 32 brownstone-style
residences ranging from 1,200 to 1,600 square feet. The development also
will feature a 15,000 square foot Village Green that includes trees,
benches, a reflecting pond, and a fountain.
